  • The informed consumer (12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.) @ Southborough Library Lawn, Outside: Join us for a fun opportunity to speak with a Community Bank Officer, about ways to make your financial decisions more flexible, connect with helpful resources, check out Consumer Reports online and talk with peers (adults and teens) in a community conversation!   • Tech Time Tuesday (4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) @ Southborough Library Teen Room: Need help with technology? Library staff and teen volunteers will go out of their way to help you. Bring questions about eBooks and eBooks. This is a downside event; no registration required. Sessions are limited to 1 hour maximum.

  • Film Matinee – At Knives Out (12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.) @ Southborough Senior Center: Free screening for seniors of the film Rated PG-13. Please register at reception or call (508) 229-4453. (As of Monday morning, there were a handful of slots remaining.) They will serve a light lunch at 12:00 noon before the movie. For more details see dedicated post.
  • Food Truck Festival (3:30 – 6:30 p.m.) @ St. Mark’s meadow (corner of Hwy 85 and Hwy 30): A series of community events hosted by the Southborough Rotary Club this fall.   • Farm Explorer Preschool Fridays (9:30 am – 10:30 am) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: For ages 2, 9 months to 5 years (and siblings). Your little farm explorers will be completely immersed in life at Chestnut Hill. Activities may include brushing goats, planting seeds, and other age-appropriate hands-on ‘farm chores’, as well as art projects and storytelling. Pre-registration (and fees) obligatory.   • Dull Men’s Club (10:00 am – 11:00 am) @ Southborough Senior Center: Weekly casual social club for senior men. New members are always welcome. For more details see dedicated post.
  • Outdoor preschool yoga (10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.) @ Southborough Library Garden: Join Mandy Roberge, Certified Children’s Yoga Instructor, as she guides children through a series of yoga poses, using games, music and literacy activities. Yoga mats will be provided. 3-6 years. Sponsored by the Friends of the Southborough Library. Registration obligatory.
  • LGBTQ + safe space (7:00 p.m.) @ Pilgrim Church’s Fellowship Hall, 15 Common Street: The church is launching a discussion group twice a month for junior and senior LGBTQ + youth, their friends and allies. This is an information session to discover the new group.

  • Fay school farmer’s market (9h00-12h00) @ École Fay: Every Saturday until October 23, the school presents a farmer’s market with vendors selling a variety of foods and products. The theme for this week is wellness, with free yoga sessions and live acoustic music. For more details see dedicated post.
  • Hiking with goats (9:00 am – 3:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Take a leisurely hike through the beautiful grounds and trails of Chestnut Hill Farm, accompanied by one or more of our friendly goats! Pre-registration (and fees) obligatory. For more details see dedicated post.

  • NSPAC social family (1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.) @ Fayville Playground, Central St: The Northborough Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council (NSPAC) will be holding its first family social event. Meet and chat with other parents of students with disabilities while your child enjoys meeting friends and having fun at the end of summer. For more details, see the dedicated article.

Update (9/27/21 2:06 PM): I learned that the Fay School Farmers Markets are back on Saturdays this fall.

Update (9/27/21 2:37 PM): I heard about the Friday night “Safe Space LGBTQ +” program for young people and their allies.
