  • Alternative medicine: marijuana (1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.) @ Southborough Senior Center: Part of the Senior Center’s Alternative Medicine Series for Seniors. This session focuses on the medicinal and recreational uses of marijuana. For more details, see the dedicated article.

  • Bodybuilding classes for seniors (8:30 am) @ zoom: Pre-registration required. For more details on semi-weekly classes, see the newsletter.
  • Book bugs: farm fun for toddlers (10:00 am – 11:00 am) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Pre-registration (and fees) obligatory. For ages 2 to 6, adult supervision required (siblings under 1 year old can attend for free). Bring your little bug. . . at the farm for an interactive story hour for children. We’re going to read a farm story, make a craft, and explore the farm! Each day will have a different theme such as “Goats and Sheep”, “What is a Seed” or “How Vegetables Grow”.   • Meeting of the volunteers of the fall fair (12:00 pm – 1:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Come ‘grab a bite to eat’ and find out how you can volunteer for the annual Friends of COA Fall Fair. There are plenty of opportunities to help with the event (scheduled for November 20, 2021). Support the friends, share the load and become part of our great team.

Library staff and teen volunteers will go out of their way to help you. Bring questions about eBooks and eBooks. This is a downside event; no registration required. Sessions are limited to 1 hour maximum.
  • Outdoor Cooking Book Club (6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.) @ Southborough Library Lawn: Pick a dish from a cookbook of your choice and bring it to share with the rest of the group – and try their dish! Fill in your choices by sending an email to [email protected] This group will meet outside on the library lawn.

  • Food Truck Festival (3:30 – 6:30 p.m.) @ St. Mark’s meadow (corner of Hwy 85 and Hwy 30): A series of community events hosted by the Southborough Rotary Club this fall. At the event, Rotary will be collecting donations for Sweats For Vets in exchange for Main Street Bank food stamps. The truck line for tonight is Say Cheese, Teddy Lunch Box, DogFather, Grub Guru, and Trombetta’s Farm Ice Cream. For more details, see the dedicated articles.
  • Book bugs: farm fun for toddlers (10:00 am – 11:00 am) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Pre-registration (and fees) obligatory. For 8 years to adult. Join us to build a special house for some magical woodland creatures. We will go on a hike to collect natural materials, then each child can create their own fairy or gnome house.   • Wellness Series: Learn Yoga Nidra (6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.) @ zoom: The free Wellness Series workshop is offered through a partnership between Southborough Library and Jill Vroman Fitness & Wellness. This session, join Jill and Dr Patty Hlava on the benefits of Yoga Nidra. Discover the happiness and relaxation of restorative Yoga Nidra, and find out how it can improve your immune system, improve your sleep, and help your body restore itself.
