FSC Athletics announces staff restructuring and promotions

Farmingdale, NY – With the recent retirement of Mike Harrington, Farmingdale State Director of Athletics, Tom azzara, is pleased to announce a number of staff promotions as a result of restructuring within the Sports Department, both in operations and reporting.

Please join us in congratulating the following on well-deserved promotions:

Deana’s Quarter was promoted to Associate Senior Sports Director / Senior Women’s Administrator. His new responsibilities will include coaching oversight for all of our 18 teams, including compliance, eligibility, planning, budgeting, travel, recruiting and admissions.

Ryan williams was promoted to Assistant Director of Sports / Director of Sports Information / Head Coach of Men’s Golf. Ryan will now assume the responsibilities of overseeing the day-to-day operation of the sports facility and facilities staff. Ryan has also been appointed head coach of men’s golf.

Erin calkins has been promoted and will retain her current title of Head Coach of Women’s Lacrosse / Academic Advisor. She will now oversee the daily operations of the fitness center and its staff.

Jennifer bergstein was promoted to Director of Sports Medicine. Jen has taken on more responsibility by working directly with Health and Wellness to streamline the authorization process for student-athletes. She also assumed the responsibility of working directly with the physiotherapy group and team physicians who assist our sports coaches in the prevention, diagnosis and rehabilitation of our athletes.

Jessica dautner was promoted to Head coach in athletics. Jessica is EMT and recently became a First Aid / CPR and AED Instructor. She will now train and certify athletic personnel to meet NCAA rules. Additionally, Jessica’s new responsibilities include handling insurance claims for our student-athletes.

Ray zdrodowski was promoted to Associate athletic trainer. Ray’s new responsibilities include hiring and supervising Pier Diem’s ​​students, interns and athletic coaches as needed. He will also coordinate the hiring of athletic training students from local colleges.
