PureGym to open second location in Bath in former Argos store

PureGym, the UK’s largest gym operator, is opening a second location in Bath this week. The company has transformed a former Argos store on Upper Bristol Road, opposite Victoria Park, into a new 20,000 square foot workout space.

The site, which is based on two floors and will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, will open at noon on Wednesday, May 11.

PureGym opened its first Bath gym in March 2020 in Spring Wharf, which it says has proven “extremely popular” among the local community and students.

A PureGym spokesperson said: “There is a huge appetite for affordable gyms in Bath so we are delighted to be opening our second club in the city.
