SRINAGAR, July 2: In order to provide an opportunity to millions of devotees of Baba Amarnath Ji across the world who were unable to come for the Yatra this year, the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board is extending the online facility to perform virtual pooja, hawan and prasad reservation for devotees, officials said.
Devotees can book their pooja, hawan and prasad online, and the priests of the sacred cave will offer it on behalf of the devotee, in addition the prasad will then be delivered to the doors of the devotees.
SASB Managing Director Nitishwar Kumar noted that online services can be booked through the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board website www.shriamarnathjishrine.com by clicking on the Pooja/Hawan/Prasad Online Book link and through the Council mobile application (which can be downloaded via the link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ncog.shriamarnath, by paying Rs 1100/- for Virtual Pooja, Rs. 1100/ – for Prasad booking (with Shri Amarnathji 5g silver coin), Rs. 2100/- for Prasad booking (with Shri Amarnathji 10g silver coin) Rs. 5100/- for the special hawan or a combination of any of the above.
The virtual Pooja or Hawan would be performed by the Pujaris at the cave shrine by uttering the name and Gotra of the devotee along with the chanting of mantras and shlokas. “By maximizing the use of available technology and digitization, devotees would be allowed to access an online virtual hall through the Jio Meet app in which they could have a special virtual Pooja and Darshan of Lord Shiva,” he added.
We have reached an agreement with the postal service to ship Prasad within 48 hours, observed the CEO of SASB. Once the reservation is made, the Shrine Board will share the link and the date/time on the devotee’s registered mobile number/email id, he said. The portal was developed by Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board with assistance from the National Informatics Centre, J&K.
