SOCCER

Football flag

Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks and Recreation is now accepting registrations for the Flag Football Fundamentals Clinic for ages 6 to 9 (starting day 1 of clinic).

This clinic will be held at the Moose Field next to the Berkeley 2000 Recreation Center (parking in the back lot.) The clinic will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on October 17 and 24.

Registration is completed on a first come, first served basis, and pre-registration is required to attend this clinic. The registration fee is $ 30.

GOLF

Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease Tournament

There will be a Walk to End Alzheimer’s disease golf tournament on October 23 at the Locust Hill Golf Club.

There will be a scramble format for the tournament which starts at 1:00 p.m.

The cost is $ 90 per golfer and $ 360 for foursomes by September 24. After that it drops to $ 100 per golfer.

There’s a $ 20 early check-in package that includes two mulligans, two raffle tickets, and a red tee. Dinner guests can come for $ 20.

GENERAL

Coaching course

A West Virginia High School Activities Commission coaching course will be held at Spring Mills High School.

It is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 16 and from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on October 17.

Participants must attend both weekend sessions.

Classes will take place at the library. Parking is in the north lot, next to the stadium.

Interested persons should apply online at WVSSAC.org. Walk-ins are not allowed.

Yoga classes

Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks and Recreation is currently accepting registrations for yoga.

This course takes place all year round and takes place from 9.45 am to 10.45 am on Wednesdays.

Pre-registration is required. The cost is $ 32 per person per month.

Silver sneakers

Martinsburg-Berkeley County Parks and Recreation is currently accepting registrations for Silver Sneakers for ages 55 and over.

This class is covered by certain insurances.

Classes take place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The fee for those whose insurance does not cover the cost is $ 20 per month for two days per week, or $ 30 per month for three days per week.
