Zoo offering Valentine’s Day and yoga classes

OMAHA, Neb. (KSNB) – – Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is hosting unique yoga events at the zoo to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Bring out your inner yogi and strike a pose at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. Lotus House of Yoga will help you take a moment to “paw” and reflect while exercising your mind and body in special themed classes at the Aquarium Conference Center:

  • Namastay Single – Solo Flow is Saturday February 12 from 9-10am. This class will focus on energizing your heart and empowering you. Your ticket includes entry to the zoo on the day of your lesson.
  • Turtley in Love – Partner Flow will take place on Saturday, February 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This class will focus on moving connections and partner flow. Your ticket includes entry to the zoo on the day of your lesson.

Cost is $18 per person for Omaha Zoo & Aquarium members and $28 per person for non-members. Pre-registration for the event is required. Participants must be at least 16 years old and bring their own yoga mats, water bottles and any other necessary equipment.

The Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium of Omaha is committed to taking the necessary precautions to protect the health and well-being of all staff, guests and animals. The zoo has adopted the principles of a “healthy zoo, healthy you”.

Face masks are required per the current Douglas County Health Department mandate. For yoga classes, face masks can be removed when training on your own mat.
